Dressing has come a long way than wearing trendy stuffs or the popular brands. When you dress according to trend, then you are in fashion. And no matter how fashionable you are, when you turn up in public, you don’t leave a lasting impression with what you are wearing.  So if you want your style of dressing to be more than what is trending and common to everyone, these are the four clues you need.
1. Dressing is freedom: What society doesn’t want to see is a naked person, so sometimes you need to break the rules to come out of the ordinary everyday fashion. Besides, laws are made by people and can be changed as well by people.
2. No one is a judge: If you are turning up for an event or going out. The people you see are not judges to give a verdict on how you are looking. So clear your conscience of what people may say and rock your style in confidence. That’s the only way to be more trendy.
3.Take the risk: We live in a society and thereof whatever we do arouses people views. And since your style of dressing will not conform the everyday fashion, be prepared for any reactions you face from others. Not saying that the reactions are going to be negative, but for the want of trending than what’s trending, you must be a risk taker.
4. Consistency: Don’t be a loser who quits before the race is done. If you want trending with your style, you need to be persistent in creating that mark. Sometimes it’s works the eleventh time.

The journey to recovering from a burn injury very often comes with doubt, discouragements, hard questions, and physical and emotional pain.

Kay Obum is a Nigerian burn survivor whose life after an unfortunate accident changed at the age of 10 and suffered 3rd degree burns that had him bed-ridden for a whole through no fault of his own. However Kay despite all these pains and suffering, with the love of his mother, faith in God is more stronger and confident than ever. He wears his scars proudly and knows that his scars dont define him.

Q: Tell us your story. What happened to you?

When I was 9 years I had a life changing accident, home accident, kerosene lamp explosion that landed me in the hospital with 3rd degree fire burns and had to be discharged after a year plus.

Q: How has the experience changed your life?

In a very drastic way, I was such a cute, outspoken, smart, and young son but I changed physically and also  lost friends though I don’t judge them, we were still young then and I looked different from the class mate that knew.

Q: Have you experienced any stigmatization?

Yes I have in so many levels, when I was small going to DMGS my peers then didn’t like selecting me in playing a ball called “monkey post” they might have reasons, I don’t judge, the bus conductors used to tell me that the bus was filled up just to go down to carry someone close to me. The world needs some one perfect but I wasn’t.

Q: Why do you think you were saved?

I was saved by the prayers of my family, friends, churches etc. But God saved me by his grace.

Q: Employment After burn injury. Tell us about that

Well am a degree holder in psychology unizik, I have a diploma in computer science and infotec, I have worked for few computer centers and also a writer for some firms I can’t disclose, lastly I have written lots of articles on my blog, Facebook page, IG , whatsapp and I have talked to lots of people online and offline.

Q: Who or what kept you going?

What keeps me going, I had a flair to live, I have had my fair share of depression so I motivated myself to survive, I was rejected so many times but God didn’t so am here to return his glory to him. He saved me.

Q: How did you feel back then when it happened?

I was a baby I couldn’t explain my feelings, but I had the zeal and energy to move on.

Q: And how do you feel now?

I feel good, I cry sometimes because am human but I am grateful to God.

Q: If you could have gone back in time what would you have liked to change?

I wouldn’t change anything.

Q: What do you do for fun?

I go on a long drive, sleep, chat, counsel people and finally I love to eat junk.

We are in an era where social media has made a lot of young women try to claim a certain position in the society by showing off with their lavish lifestyle.
These young women dress to look expensive depending on men or through other foul means.
With these young women on one side, on the other side, there are the TV personalities, actresses and female musicians who are also claiming the same title with these young women on social media.
The title being a “slay queen” has been become a battle. But let’s us now identify the real slay queens.

By the definition of slay queen according to the definition in the urban dictionary, it’s states as “young and naive girls who apparently do not date broke men. They spend hours on snap chat and Instagram showing off things they don’t even own.” or “Girls who do not have a wealthy background but appear as if they do. They use malicious acts to attain cash, drink expensive alcohol, procure expensive cellphones. But back at home she’s a chicken chaser”.

So per the definition, can you now tell who a slay queen is?
And how then should those who slay hard but don’t fit the definition be called?
Leave your answer in the comment box.

According to Creative Director Hafsah Mohammed:

“We designed this collection with different eye-catching elements from fringes to organza fabrics, making the selection versatile and fitting to one’s preference.

This Eid, we are mixing bygones with the new. We are taking a different approach to the typical abaya by giving it a modern twist, while still capturing the inimitable spirit of the Elora woman – her bold adventurous side.”

The African Millennials, also dubbed “The AM’s”, is a Reality TV meet Talk Show with a
cast of about 16 millennials from various African backgrounds. The unscripted program
will shock viewers with its raw perspective on social issues that plague both the Black
and African communities.

The campaign images were released in celebration of the second season of the African Millennials or the AM’s as they are referred to sometimes. All things considered, the styles were pretty dope and the group shots were on fire. as they explored a regal look for the cast, giving us some Ankara, because we are Africans afterall.

The cast (Nestreya, DJ YB, Kristia, Bawo, Lucy, Acrown, Francia, Buki, Senami, Tayo, DJ Love, Milan, and KMS) were shot by Joey Rosado of Island Boi Photography fame and styled by cast member Senami Atinkpahoun

Much as being in a relationship is the sweetest thing that can happen to us, still not all relationship that has a beautiful beginning end up that way. A break in a relationship is such a sad but necessary realization. There are so many factors that contribute to this and in other relationships there come times where partners want to end it all without any concrete stand to call it a quit, this is when partners spend less time together than before, but sometimes a  break in a relationship is essential to bring it back on a solid ground. These are five reasons why it’s so:

1.Time for reflections:
When you have a break in your relationship, it grants you the time to cast your memory to when you went out with your friends and enjoyed some time with your family. When you read books or listen to music to unwind when you didn’t have to worry whether you partner called or not, and all the things you did when you weren’t in a relationship.

2. Weigh between before/after the relationship:
This is when you compare if it’s actually worthwhile to continue in the relationship or not. You’ll look at the times when you were not with anybody but yourself and your focus was to be happy and satisfied in life and when you were in the relationship, your thoughts were not only about yourself but also about your partner’s happiness.

3. Pick out the odds:
This is when you’re able to plan how you want to be treated in the relationship. What you could have done right and you never did. Find your strength and weakness in the relationship and figure out how you and your partner would have to continue the relationship as loving as it was from the onset.

4. Make new resolutions:
When there is a break, it doesn’t mean its over yet, it’s just a time for you to recap on your relationship and see where it will lead to, if you are to continue and also make changes if possible.
